Powertex Christmas Tree workshop

A great introduction to powertex and just in time for Christmas too.

Create your own decorative tree using a number of materials and powertex which is a fabric hardener.

You will be offered a number of different colours and patterns of fabric and will be shown how to manipulate it to create your tree.

This makes a great table centrepiece or can be used as part of your Christmas decorations.

Booking is essential and a non refundable £5 deposit is required to guarantee your place. Bookings can be made in store or through our website.

Please note that this is a messy workshop and whilst we provide aprons you

Mixed media art book workshop
Friday 10th November 5pm - 7pm
£10 per person.
All materials provided to make your own mdf art book.

Candle making workshop FULL

Saturday 25th February 1.30pm £12 per person

We will begin with a demonstration by Annie the founder of Easi Candle then you will make your own decorative candle to take home with you at the end of the workshop.

All materials are provided including complimentary refreshments throughout the workshop.

Fabric lanterns workshop

Saturday  9th April 5pm - 7pm

Enjoy an evening making 2 lanterns using your choice from a great range of fabrics. You will take away your 2 lanterns at the end of the workshop all ready to display and use in your home or garden. (Please note these are for battery operated tea lights only)
All materials and tools are provided along with complimentary refreshments.

Powertex picture canvas

Spend an evening creating your own unique picture canvas with our tutor Irene.

You will be using a Powertex with a number different materials and embellishments to create your canvas giving you a variety of finishes.

This is a messy workshop and whilst we provide aprons and gloves we advise you to wear old clothing and leave jewellery at home.

All materials and tools are provided and there will be complimentary refreshments throughout the workshop. Please note you will need to bring a picture of approx 8cm x 8cm to complete your canvas.

Cost of workshop is £17 and a nonrefundable deposit of £5 per person is required - deposit will be refunded or carried over if Purrfect Crafting has to cancel (places will not be held without a deposit as places are limited)

Powertex bowl workshop

Wednesday 30th June 4pm - 7pm

Spend a relaxed and creative evening with Powertex and learn a new skill. You will be guided by our expert tutor Irene who will be there every step of the way.

You will be using a range of materials and embellishments to create your own bowl, once dried you will be shown how to colour your piece and watch it really come to life.

Your finished bowl will be yours to take home and enjoy at the end of the workshop.

All materials and tools are provided and complimentary refreshments will be available throughout the workshop.

Please note this is a messy workshop and whilst aprons and gloves are provided we ask you to come in old clothing and leave jewellery at home.

Powertex heart to heart workshop - Friday 7th February 4pm @ Purrfect Crafting.
All ready for Valentines, make your own version of this gorgeous twin hearts hanging plaque.
Our expert tutor Irene will show you how to decorate your hearts using Powertex and pigment colours.
Complimentary refreshments are provided throughout the workshop.

Powertex Christmas Postbox workshop.
Sunday 22nd September 10-30am £35 lunch included.
Our first Christmas workshop for this year.
Create your own gorgeous Christmas postbox using this great fabric hardening medium and pigments. Our expert tutor will guide you every step of the way to enable you to create your own unique postbox using fabric and embellishments. 
Everything is provided so you can relax and enjoy a day creating your own work of art.
We will begin with a drink and an  introduction to Powertex before being shown how to manipulate fabric and other natural materials to create the main base of your postbox. You will then add your embellishments, choosing from a wide range which will be available to you. We willthen break to allow the postboxes to dry whilst you will enjoy a lovey buffet lunch and chat amongst yourselves. You will also have the opportunity to stock up on your Powertex and other craft items from our great range of Crafting products.
After lunch it will be back to your postbox where you will be shown how to dry brush. This is where your postbox will really come to life using our extensive range of pigment colours in matt, metallic and colour changing. 
Complimentary refreshments are provided provided throughout the workshop.

Powertex Cello workshop.

Create your own musical masterpiece at our Powertex workshop.
You will be shown by our expert tutor how to manipulate fabric to craft your Cello, once dry you will be able to highlight your cello with our great range of pigments to really bring it to life. You will be leaving at the end of the workshop with your own completed piece ready to display.
All tools, materials and protective aprons/gloves are provided (this is a messy class using fabric hardener so you are advised to wear old clothing)

Ship's wheel workshop. Tuesday May 7th @ 4pm £18.50 per person.
From our nautical range comes the gorgeous ship's wheel.
Created from m.d.f. you will be shown by how to colour and accent your wheel by our own expert mixed media tutor.
The wheel is fully turning and comes on a base and with a faux compass for you to arrange how you wish.
There will be able a variety of different colours, embellishments and materials for you to choose from to make your wheel truly unique to you.

Powertex fairy tree house workshop.
Wednesday April 24th @ 4pm
£20.00 per person.
Would you like to learn a new craft in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere? or maybe you would like to dabble in the world of Powertexing or you just simply love messy Crafting, then this is the workshop you have been waiting for.
Moving on from the fairy House you will be creating your own unique fairy tree house, with nooks and crannies, branches, birds, steps, log seat and even a cute little swing not to mention the obligatory fairy.
You will be led by our own fully qualified Powertex tutor who will show you how to manipulate various materials and embellishments to create your own gorgeous version of this fantastic tree house.
Once dry you will be able to colour your piece and really bring it to life.
Your masterpiece will be finished with the magical glow of added lights and after curing for 3 weeks it will be ready to put in the garden (if you wish)
Your finished item will be yours to take home with you and enjoy.

Mini Weaving Sampler Workshop. Monday 15th April 3pm £7-50 per person
Learn the art of loom weaving and make your own woven sampler.
You will be shown a number of techniques using a variety of colours and threads to create your own unique sampler which will be yours to take home with you at the end of the workshop.
All tools, mini loom and threads are provided along with complimentary refreshments throughout the workshop.

Lit bottle workshop. Wednesday 17th April @ 3.30pm £10 per person.
Create your own gorgeous lit decorative bottle using one of a number of different themes.
You will be shown how to create the pattern and glitter your bottle before adding any finishing touches ie: wording then you will add lights.
All tools, embellishments, products, lights and bottles are provided along with complimentary refreshments throughout the workshop.
Please inform us beforehand if you require any specific embellishments/wording.

Man shed workshop. Saturday March 16th 11am - 2pm £17-50 per person.
We will provide you with your own shed and a range of embellishments so that you can create your very own style of shed.
Your shed has an opening door so you can put gifts inside if you wish.
Please let us know beforehand if you require any personalisation so that we can have it ready for you on the day.
Shed, embellishments, paints, tools and complimentary refreshments are provided throughout the workshop.

Cart workshop. Tuesday March 5th. 4pm - 7.30pm £15 per person.
Just in time for Mothers day or a gorgeous gift to yourself, you will be shown how to decorate your own  beautiful handcart in colours of your choice.
There will be a range of embellishments for you to use to make your cart truly special. Please let us know beforehand if you require any particular words/names cutting to personalise your cart.

Powertex - Decorative handbag workshop
Wednesday February 20th 4pm - 7.30pm

This fabulous new workshop will blow you away.
Create your own decorative handbag using Powertex and a range of embellishments.
You will be shown by our expert tutor how to manipulate fabric then add a range of embellishments to create your own unique style of handbag.
Once dry you will be taught the techniques of dry brushing to add a range of colours and really bring your handbag to life, once finished it will be yours to take home and enjoy.
All materials (MDF handbag, fabric & embellishments) tools and equipment are provided.
You will create your handbag in a relaxed atmosphere whilst enjoying complimentary refreshments.
